BIST 100 Index Started March With an Increase
BIST 100 index started March with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,969.13 points with an increase of 1.18 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 22.95 points and 1.18 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,969.13 points.
At the closing, the banking index gained 0.92 percent, while the holding index gained 1.27 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 2.78 percent, and the most decline was recorded on tourism with 2.51 percent.

Borsa Istanbul announced that the up-step rule will be applied in short selling transactions in the stocks in the BIST 50 index in today's session.
After following a fluctuating course yesterday, the BIST 100 index closed the day at 1,946.19 points with a 0,32 percent depreciation.
Analysts stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine has eroded the risk appetite on a global basis, and said that the news flow on the subject continues to be decisive on investor decisions.
It was stated that today, worldwide manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Germany and ISM manufacturing index data in the USA will be monitored closely.

BIST 100 index.
