BIST 100 Index Started The Day Horizontally on September 8

BIST 100 index started the day horizontally on September 8. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.03 percent and started the day with 1,455.18 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 0.43 points and 0.03 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,455.18 points. While the banking index gained 0.01 percent at the opening, the holding index gained limited value by 0.02 percent. Among the sector indices, insurance was the highest earner with 0.86 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 0.97 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 1,454.74 points with a 1.35 percent depreciation due to the declining global risk appetite. Analysts said that despite the rise in inflation, the weak labor market and concerns that coronavirus (Covid-19) variants will harm the economic recovery, led investors to take a cautious position. It is stated that the data agenda is calm in the country today and the speech of the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Şahap Kavcıoğlu will be followed at the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry Economic Meeting. It was stated that in Beige Book Report will be monitored. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.490 stands out as the resistance, and the levels of 1.450 and 1.430 are in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
