BIST 100 Index Closed the Day with a Decline

BIST 100 index closed the day with a decline. BIST 100 index depreciated by 1.35 percent in Borsa Istanbul and finished the day at 1.454.74 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 19.97 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 12.4 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 1.78 percent value, while the holding index lost 1.36 percent. While there were no winners among the sector indices in Borsa Istanbul, while the most decline was recorded on mining with 2.52 percent. Analysts stated that before the European Central Bank (ECB) meeting, there was a search for direction and volatility in the stock markets due to the uncertainties about the future of monetary policies. It was stated that tomorrow, the data agenda is calm in the country, and the growth in Japan and the number of open jobs in the USA will be closely monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.490 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.450 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
