BIST 100 index started the day with an increase on August 26. BIST 100 index gained 0.19 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day at 1.456.00 points.

BIST 100 index, which increased by 2.70 points and 0.19 percent compared to the previous close at the beginning of the day, rose to 1.456.00 points. While the banking index gained 0.17 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.16 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 1.44 percent, while the most decline was recorded on construction with 0.29 percent. After testing 1,470 points, which analysts describe as resistance, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started to decline, with sales that increased its effect, ended the day at 1,453.30, with a 0.86 percent depreciation compared to the previous day. Analysts said that the US's second quarter growth data, which will be announced at 3:30 pm today, is in the focus of investors, before the US Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell's speech at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium tomorrow. In addition, before Powell's speech, it was stated that the fluctuation in the markets could continue. In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.470 and 1.490 are in a position of resistance and the level of 1.440 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
