BIST 100 Index Started The Week With A Fall On October 25

BIST 100 index started the week with a fall on October 25. BIST 100 index lost 0.55 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day at 1,471.86 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost 8.07 points and 0.55 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,471.86 points. While the banking index lost 0.84 percent in the opening, the holding index lost 0.54 percent. While the only winner among the sector indices was sports with 0.85 percent, most decline was recorded on communication with 1.10 percent. On Friday, the BIST 100 index increased by 1.68 percent to 1,479.93 points, its highest close since March 19th. Analysts stated that the increasing number of cases, inflationary pressures and supply problems in the coronavirus epidemic eroded the risk appetite in global stock markets. Analysts stated that the third quarter financial results of the companies will continue to be monitored, and noted that the capacity utilization rate and real sector confidence index in the country, the IFO business environment confidence index in Germany, the Chicago national activity index in the USA and the Dallas Fed manufacturing activity index will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.490 is in the resistance position and the level of 1.460 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
