BIST 100 Index Started The Week With A Record
BIST 100 index started the week with a record. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week at 1,672.35 points with a gain of 2.07 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 33.85 points and 2.07 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,672.35 points. Thus, the BIST 100 index saw its highest level in its history.
While the banking index gained 7.79 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 1.81 percent. Among the sector indices, banking was the highest earner, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 0.09 percent.
On Friday, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul renewed its closing record by completing 1,638.50 points with an increase of 0.83 percent.
Analysts pointed out that banking stocks started the day with a rapid rise after Garanti BBVA's main shareholder Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria announced that it would make a voluntary takeover offer for the whole of Garanti BBVA. While Garanti BBVA's share price peaked at 11.63 TL at the opening, it also reached its highest level since February 13, 2020.
It was stated that today, housing sales and budget balance in the country, foreign trade balance in the Eurozone and New York Fed industrial index data in the USA will be monitored closely.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.690 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.620 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
