BIST 100 Index Started the Week With a Rise

BIST 100 index started the week with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.61 percent and started the day with 1,393.19 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 8.50 points and 0.61 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,393.19 points. While the banking index gained 0.86 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.68 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with 1.10 percent gained the most, while the only decline was recorded on informatics with 1.21 percent. On Friday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a downward trend and closed with 1,384.68 points, depreciating by 1.20 percent. Analysts said that global markets started the week with a mixed course with increasing supply problems and uncertainties regarding China's economic regulations, but domestic markets were positively differentiated. Today, it was stated that in addition to the speech of the President of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, durable goods orders in the USA and the Dallas Fed manufacturing activity index data will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.420 in a position of resistance, while the levels of 1.390 and 1.370 stood out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
