BIST 100 Index Started the Week With A Rise

BIST 100 index started the week with a rise. BIST 100 index gained 0.37 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,589.43 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 5.84 points and 0.37 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,589.43 points. While the banking index gained 0.34 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.47 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest gainer was the securities investment partnership with 0.90 percent, while the most decline was recorded on communication with 0.16 percent. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed at 1,583.59 points with an increase of 0.50 percent last Friday, closing the highest of all time. The index, which broke the closing record on a weekly basis, has gained more than 4 percent in this process. Analysts stated that the new week started calmly after the record closings were mostly realized with the increasing risk appetite in the global stock markets last week. It was stated that the data agenda is weak today, and the news flow about the Euro Group meeting and the speech of the US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell at the opening of the Gender and Economy Conference will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.590 and 1.620 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.540 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
