BIST 100 Index Closed the Day with a Record Level

BIST 100 index closed with a record level. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 1.58 percent and finished the day at 1,608.54 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 24.94 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 25.6 billion TL. At the close, the banking index gained 1.03, while the holding index gained 1.82 percent. Among the sector indices, the main industry metal earned the most with 3.48 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 0.35 percent. BIST 100 index, which closed the last week with records, continued its upward trend on the first trading day of the new week. While the BIST 100 index gained 1.58 percent and closed the day at 1,608.54 points, it closed the highest of all time by rising above 1,600 points for the first time in its history, and reached a record level with 1,609.07 points. Analysts stated that the statements of the US Federal Reserve Governor (FED) Jerome Powell and the European Central Bank President (ECB) Christine Lagarde will be at the focal point of the markets. It was stated that the data agenda will be calm in the country tomorrow, while the Producer Price Index (PPI) in the USA, ZEW indices in Germany and foreign trade figures will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.620 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.540 stands out as the support for BIST 100 index.
