BIST 100 index started the week with an increase on September 13. BIST 100 index gained 0.07 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,439.75 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.03 points and 0.07 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,439.75 points. While the banking index gained 0.25 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.16 percent. Among the sector indices, mining was the highest earner with 1.68%, while the highest decline was recorded on sports with 0.83 percent. BIST 100 index, which moves mainly on sales on Friday, closed at 1,438.72 points with a decrease of 0.96 percent. Analysts stated that the risk appetite is weak due to the concern that the increasing cases in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic in the global stock markets may adversely affect the economic recovery. It was stated that the balance of payments and industrial production data to be announced today in the country and the budget balance in the USA will be closely monitored. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.430 stands out as the support, while the levels of 1.440 and 1.455 are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
