BIST 100 Index Closed the Day Horizontally on September 13

BIST 100 index closed the day horizontally on September 13. BIST 100 index depreciated by 0.03 percent in Borsa Istanbul and ended the day at 1,438.28 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 0.44 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 11.6 billion liras. At the close, the banking index lost 0.36 percent, while the holding index gained 0.28 percent. Among the sector indices, mining was the highest earner with 2.18 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 1.76 percent. Analysts noted that the increasing number of cases in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, uncertainties regarding monetary policies and inflation pressure brought difficulties in pricing, and noted that the search for direction in the markets continues. It is stated that housing sales statistics in the country, inflation in the USA abroad, industrial production in Japan will come to the fore on the data agenda tomorrow, while the statements from the European Central Bank will also be closely monitored. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.430 stands out as the support, while the levels of 1.440 and 1.455 are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
