BIST 100 Index Started Thursday with a Fall
BIST 100 index started Thursday with a fall. BIST 100 index depreciated 0.58 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1.423.00 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost 8.31 points and 0.58 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,423.00 points.
At the close, the banking index depreciated by 0.53 percent, while the holding index depreciated by 1.04%. While holding and investment lost the most among the sector indices, there was no sector index that gained value.
BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which acted with sellers yesterday, finished the day at 1,431.31 points with a 0.78 percent depreciation.
While the US Federal Reserve (FED) did not make any changes in the policy rate and asset purchase program in line with the expectations yesterday, it increased the selling pressure in the stock markets with the decision text, the members' estimates and the President Jerome Powell's statements being evaluated as "hawks" from the expectations.
Analysts pointed out that inflation concerns now take place in the Fed's expectations and statements, adding that markets will be more sensitive to data and pricing that will determine inflation expectations in the future.
It was noted that today, the
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee meeting, inflation in the Eurozone and weekly unemployment applications in the USA will be monitored closely.
In technical, analysts stated that the level of 1,390 is in the support position, while the levels of 1.470 and 1.490 stand out as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
