BIST 100 Index Started Tuesday with a Record
BIST 100 index started Tuesday with a record. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,721.79 points with a 1.13 percent gain.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 19.29 points and 1.13 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,721.79 points. Thus, the BIST 100 index recorded its highest level in its history at the opening.
While the banking index gained 5.66 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 0.08 percent. Among the sector indices, banking was the most profitable, while the most decline was recorded on leasing with 0,62 percent, factoring.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul increased by 3.91 percent, bringing the closing record to 1,702.49 points.
After Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) announced that it will make a voluntary takeover offer for the whole of Garanti BBVA, the bank's shares hit the highest level since February 2020 at 12.22 liras at today's opening.
Analysts stated that this move of BBVA had a positive impact on the perception of domestic and foreign investors, and said that profit sales may increase in banking stocks today due to the rapid rise in the short term.
Analysts stated that today, the housing price index in the country, unemployment in the UK, growth in the Eurozone, retail sales in the USA, industrial production and capacity utilization data will be monitored closely. Analysts also noted that developments in the bond markets, where volatility increased due to pressures, will also be in the focus of investors.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.740 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.660 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
