BIST 100 Index Closed Tuesday with a Fall
BIST 100 index closed Tuesday with a fall. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul finished the day at 1,685.60 points, depreciating by 0.99 percent.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which recorded a decrease of 16.89 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 35.9 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index gained 0.25 percent, while the holding index lost 0.6 percent. Among the sector indices, banking was the most profitable, while the most decline was recorded on construction with 5.31 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which saw an all-time high with 1,725.02 points in Borsa Istanbul, which started the day with a buyer, started to decline with the sales that increased its effect at this level and closed the day at 1,685.60 points, 0.99 percent below the previous close.
Analysts noted that rising exchange rates and the upward trend in the US 10-year bond yields caused selling pressure in the stock markets.
Stating that the data agenda is calm in the country tomorrow, analysts reminded that inflation data will be followed in the Eurozone and England. In addition, it was noted that the developments in the bond markets, where volatility increased due to the verbal guidance of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) officials and inflation pressures, will also be in the focus of investors.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.720 is in a position of resistance and the levels of 1.660 and 1.620 are standing out as the support for the
BIST 100 index.
