BIST 100 index started Wednesday with a fall on November 17. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,683.10 points, depreciating by 0.15 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost value by 2.50 points and 0.15 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,683.10 points.
At the closing, the banking index depreciated by 0.24 percent, while the holding index depreciated by 0.05 percent. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing were the highest earners with 0.97 percent, while the most decline was recorded on trade with 1.66 percent.
Yesterday, after the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul reached its highest level record of 1,725.02 points, it went down with the increasing selling pressure and closed the day at 1,685.60 points with a decrease of 0.99 compared to the previous close.
Analysts stated that inflation concerns in global stock markets eroded the risk appetite, and that after the rapid rise in the last weeks, profit sales increased the effect of profit sales in the domestic market.
Stating that today, short-term external debt statistics in the country, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the Eurozone and the UK, and construction permits and housing starts data in the USA will be monitored closely. Analysts noted that the speeches of the US Federal Reserve officials will also be in the focus of investors.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1,640 is in a position of support and the level of 1.725 stands out as the resistance for the
BIST 100 index.
