BIST 100 Index Started Wednesday With Gains

BIST 100 index started Wednesday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.22 percent and started the day with 1,411.90 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 3.09 points and 0.22 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,411.90 points. While the banking index gained 0.16 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.31 percent. Among the sector indices, textile and leather were the highest earners with 0.68 percent, while the only decline was recorded on construction with 0.03 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul acted positively despite the inflation data for the month of July, which exceeded the expectations, and finished the day at 1,408.81 points with an increase of 0.65 percent. Analysts stated that mixed signals from macroeconomic data and the delta variant that continues to spread in the coronavirus epidemic have eroded upward movements in global stock markets, and that volatility may increase after the data in the ADP employment report to be announced in the USA today. It was also stated that the domestic real effective exchange rate and the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data of the service sector will be closely monitored today. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.420 is in the resistance position, and levels of 1.390 and 1.377 stand out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
