BIST 100 Index Started Thursday with a Decrease

BIST 100 index started Thursday with a decrease. BIST 100 index lost 0.34 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,409.05 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost value by 4.75 points and 0.34 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,409.05 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.75 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 0.47 percent. Among the sector indices, IT was the most profitable with 0.43%, while the most decline was recorded on banking. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which acted with buyers yesterday, closed the day at 1,413.80, with an increase of 0.35 percent. Analysts stated that mixed signals from macroeconomic data and the delta variant that continued to spread in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic reduced risk appetite on a global basis, and uncertainties regarding monetary policies continued. It was stated that the data agenda is calm in the country today, and that the data on unemployment applications in the USA will be closely monitored along with the interest rate decision of the Bank of England abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.440 stands out as the resistance, and the levels of 1.390 and 1.370 are in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
