BIST 100 Started Friday With A Rise

BIST 100 index started Friday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 2,025.48 points with an increase of 0.77 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 15.50 points and 0.77 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2,025.48 points. While the banking index gained 0.82% at the opening, the holding index gained 0.65%. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 1.40 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 5.05 percent. BIST 100 index, which oscillated between positive and negative pricing with the high volatility yesterday, closed the day at 2.09.99 points with 1.54 percent depreciation. Analysts stated that the statements creating information pollution regarding the Russia-Ukraine crisis caused the volatility in the stock markets to remain high, and said that the developments regarding the issue will be monitored. Pointing out that the importance of central bank officials' evaluations regarding monetary policies has increased in an environment of rising inflation and uncertainty, analysts noted that the verbal guidance of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) and European Central Bank (ECB) officials will be closely followed in this context. It was also stated that today, housing sales statistics and consumer confidence index in the country, consumer confidence index in the Eurozone and second-hand house sales data in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.990 is in a position of support and the level of 2.090 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
