BIST 100 Started The Day With A Rise

BIST 100 index started the day with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,883.17 points with an increase of 1.72 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 31.78 points and 1.72 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,883.17 points. While the banking index gained 1.63% at the opening, the holding index lost 1.35 percent value. While the main metal industry gained the most in the sector indices with 2.80 percent, the most decline was recorded on tourism with 4.67 percent. BIST 100 index, which started the day with a sharp decline and the circuit breaker system was operating as of the opening, finished the day at 1,851.38 points with a depreciation of 8.17%. Analysts said that Russia's military action in Ukraine and the increasing risk perception on a global scale were relatively calmed by the announced sanctions, and that volatility in the markets may continue as the risks related to the issue are still on the table. Emphasizing that the reflections of the developments on energy prices will be critical in terms of inflation expectations and the course of monetary policies, and the importance of verbal guidance in this context has increased, the analysts stated that the statements of the officials of the UK, USA and European central banks will be followed today. Analysts stated that the economic confidence index in the country, personal income and expenditures, durable goods orders, consumer confidence index in the Eurozone and growth in Germany will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.830 is in the position of support and the level of 2.000 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
