BIST 100 Started The Week With A Rise
BIST 100 index started the week with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week at 2.050.09 points with an increase of 0.87 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 17.65 points and 0.87 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2,050.09 points.
While the banking index gained 0.86 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.93 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 1.40 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 3.43%.
BIST 100 index, after following a buying-heavy course on Friday, closed the day at 2.032.44 points, gaining 1.12 percent value. The index, on the other hand, fell by 0.91 percent in the whole of the last week, when the global volatility was high due to the Russia-Ukraine tension.
Analysts said that with the news that US President
Joe Biden agreed to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in principle, the risk appetite in global markets increased relatively, and that the developments regarding the issue remained at the center of the agenda.
Stating that the search for direction in the markets is expected to come to the fore due to the closed US markets and the weak data agenda today, analysts stated that the verbal guidance of the central bank officials will also be followed closely.
Analysts noted that the Producer Price Index (PPI) in Germany and the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) of the manufacturing industry and services sector in Europe stood out on the data agenda.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.990 stands out as the support and the level of 2.090 is in a position of resistance.
