BIST 100 Started Thursday With A Decrease

BIST 100 index started Thursday with a decrease. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,986.48 points with a decrease of 0.94 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost 18.82 points and 0.94 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,986.48 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.81 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 0.92 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 0.08 percent, while the most decline was recorded on communication with 1.24 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 2.12 percent and closed the day at 2.005.29 points. Analysts stated that after the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) meeting minutes released yesterday evening, a negative trend was observed in the global stock markets after the direction that it could start to increase interest rates earlier and faster than expected. It was stated that today the weekly money and bank statistics in the country, Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Germany, Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Eurozone and ISM non-manufacturing index in the USA. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.960 and 1.930 are in the support position, while the level of 2.050 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
