BIST 100 Started Wednesday With Gains
BIST 100 index started Wednesday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,965.52 points with an increase of 0.10 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 1.93 points and 0.10 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,965.52 points.
While the banking index depreciated limitedly by 0.03 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.06 percent. Among the sector indices, trade with 0.93 percent gained the most, while the most decline was recorded on transportation with 2.20 percent.
BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 1.92 percent yesterday and closed the day at 1,963.59 points.
Analysts noted that after the macroeconomic data announced in the USA yesterday, the pricing that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) may start to increase interest rates in May strengthened, and this situation brought along the continuation of the mixed course that has dominated the stock markets since the beginning of the week.
Pointing out that the rise in the US 10-year bond yields continues, analysts reminded that investors are focusing on the details of the Fed's meeting minutes to be announced this evening, and that the news flow regarding the Omicron variant in the coronavirus epidemic maintains its importance.
Analysts stated that the service sector Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) in Germany, the Euro Zone and the USA, and the ADP private sector employment data in the USA will be monitored closely.
In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.980 and 2.000 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.900 stands out as the support for the
BIST 100 index.
