BIST 100 Started Thursday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 2,186.58 points with a 1.12 percent gain.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 24.32 points and 1.12 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2,186.58 points. While the banking index gained 1.19 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 1.09 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the most profitable with 3.28 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index increased by 0.21% in Borsa Istanbul, bringing the closing record to 2,162.26 points. The index hit its historical high with 2,195.07 points during the day. The US Federal Reserve (Fed), while keeping the interest rates unchanged at 0-0.25 percent at the last meeting of 2021, increased the rate of decrease in asset purchases from $ 15 billion to $ 30 billion per month. Analysts stated that the Fed's decision text and Fed Chairman Jerome Powell's statements gave "strong and clear" messages, Powell said that although the guidance continued in a "hawkish" tone, it reduced the uncertainties regarding the course of monetary policies in 2022, and that this situation supported the stock markets. Today, the monetary policy decisions of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) in Turkey and the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank of England (BoE) meetings will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it is stated that the levels of 2.200 and 2.250 are in a position of resistance and the level of 2.030 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
