BIST 100 Started Thursday With Gains
BIST 100 index started the day with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 2.009.33 points with an increase of 1.17 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 23.24 points and 1.17 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2.009.33 points.
Banking index gained 0.95 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.94 percent. Among the sector indices, chemistry, petroleum and plastics were the highest earners with 1.66%, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 1.65%.

Borsa Istanbul announced that the up-step rule will be applied in short selling transactions in the stocks in the BIST 50 index in today's session.
BIST 100 index, after following a buying trend yesterday, finished the day at 1,986.09 points, gaining 0.82% value. US Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell announced that they would act cautiously in raising interest rates. Analysts noted that the news flow regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine continues to be influential on asset prices.
Today, in addition to the statements of Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, the services sector and the combined Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) around the world, the Producer Price Index in the Eurozone, weekly unemployment claims along with the factory orders and durable goods orders in the US will be monitored closely.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 2.010 is in a position of resistance, while the levels of 1.930 and 1.870 stand out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
