BIST 100 Started Tuesday Horizontally

BIST 100 index started Tuesday horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,998.55 points with an increase of 0.05 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 0.97 points and 0.05 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,998.55 points. At the opening, the banking index opened just below yesterday's closing level, while the holding index depreciated by 0.02 percent. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing were the highest earners with 0.74 percent, while the most decline was recorded on informatics with 0.61 percent. BIST 100 index, which rose yesterday, led by industry and transportation shares, finished the day at 1,997.58 points with an increase of 2.77 percent. Analysts said the search for direction in global markets continues with hawkish central banks and rising geopolitical risks. Analysts pointed out that the balance sheet disclosures of companies traded in Borsa Istanbul intensified and stated that stock-based volatility may increase in this period. It was stated that today the news flow regarding the contacts of Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati in London will be in the focus of investors, while foreign trade data in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 2.030 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.980 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
