Britain Calls 65,000 Former Nurses And Doctors To Duty
The coronavirus increased its pace all over the world, and with the increase of the pandemic in European countries, it took some precautions in the UK. The UK Ministry of Health called on 65,000 former doctors and nurses to tackle the coronavirus. Britain also called for senior medical students temporarily to combat coronavirus.
"We can't do this alone. That's why we want all of our recently retired nurses to share their knowledge and experience with us during this global epidemic. Because I have no doubt that you won't be able to withhold your help to save lives," said Ruth May, responsible for nursing services in the UK.
The British Nursing and Midwifery Council has written to more than 50,000 nurses whose employment contract has ended in the past three years. The General Health Council will call for about 15,500 doctors who have not been in office since 2017.
