Bulgarian Prime Minister Caught Coronavirus
Bulgarian Prime Minister caught coronavirus. It was announced that
President Boyko Borisov's coronavirus PSR test was positive.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said in a statement on his social media account, "I am only feeling general weakness at the moment, but doctors recommended treatment in the home environment" and reported that he went into quarantine at home.
Borisov said that after he learned that he caught coronavirus, he sent the list of people he had been in contact with the State Health Inspectorate in the last days, "I am sure that we will all deal with this problem if we act in accordance with the necessary rules."
On Friday, the first two of the three tests Prime Minister Borisov were negative, following a positive PSR test for Deputy Minister of Regional Development Nikolay Nankov.
In addition, it was reported that Regional Development Minister Petya Avramova, Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva, Finance Minister Kiril Ananiev and Press Counselor Sevdalina Arnaudova, who were working in close contact with Prime Minister Borisov, were in quarantine for precautionary purposes.
