e-Notary Application Started Today The e-Notary application started today. Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül explained the details of the e-Notary application. Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül announced that the "e-Notary" application, which allows making appointments for notary procedures over the internet and allows some transactions to be made without going to the notary offices and that the "e-Notary" application, which allows the notary services to be done without going to the notary, has started today. Minister of Justice Gül spoke at the “Digital Transformation e-Notary Practices in Notary Offices Publicity Meeting” held in Ankara Judges House. Minister Gül made the following statements about the e-Notary application: “Today, we are bringing new facilities to our citizens and notaries with the 'e-Notary' application. Our citizens will have the possibility of getting an appointment 24 hours a day 7 days from the website using 'e-Notary' application of the Notaries Union of Turkey. Our citizens will be able to make an appointment from the notary public office they want, without the requirement of membership, via mobile phone or computer. Thus, citizens will be prevented from wasting time. Within the scope of the e-Notary application, transactions such as notification and translation without going to the notary offices can be carried out with "e-Signature". In addition, before going to the notary, whatever process will be established before going to the notary, the citizens who will forward the requests and information about them will encounter the ready transaction when they go to the notary offices, they will sign and carry out the transaction.” Stating that lawyers can also benefit from the 'e-Notary' application, Gül stated that lawyers can immediately perform notary procedures from their offices. Reminding that they are working on expanding the authority of the notary services, Gül said: “We believe that it is correct to expand the authority of our notaries in a way that will reduce the workload of the judiciary and ensure that citizens receive better services. We believe that it will be correct and beneficial if some uncontested judicial affairs can be made by the notary offices such as evidence determination, and some transactions such as title deeds can be carried out by the trusted notary services, limited to the period when the case has not yet been opened.
