Can Amazon Stock Be Held For Life?
An evergreen stock should always be in your portfolio!
Warren Buffett, who added the term to our knowledge base, once stated that the stock's favorite holding period is "Forever."
However, this quote is often misinterpreted, nor does it mean that the Oracle of Omaha never sold stock or held on stubbornly to bankrupt business stock.
Lifetime held stocks typically share three strengths:
-They dominate their own markets,
-They have ample cash flow
-They have growth values spanning decades.
One Of The Great Companies With These Three Values, Amazon
- Amazon
After Amazon
AMZN (NASDAQ) $3.383,13 -0,74 (-%0,02) began announcing revenues for cloud platform provider AWS (Amazon Web Services), its stock also soared. In fact, it was always envisioned that with the profits of the cloud department, it could easily support the expansion of its low-margin retail business.
Indeed, this has happened!
Can Amazon Stock Be Held For Life?
None of Amazon's physical and online competitors has this unique power. Amazon's massive cycle picked up pace in 2017, helping generate ample cash flows for new acquisitions, including but not limited to the $13,7 billion purchase of Whole Foods and the $8,5 billion MGM Studios acquisition.
These acquisitions were seen as Amazon's expansion across seemingly unrelated industries, but it's the company's trademark that these industries connect their customers to the loyal Prime ecosystem of over 200 million paid subscribers.
Amazon is already the equivalent of online shopping in many countries, and since AWS is already the world's largest cloud infrastructure platform, it's arguably a lifetime stock.
