Capital International Bought a Large Amount of MicroStrategy Stocks
Capital International bought a large amount of MicroStrategy stocks. Capital International has invested over half a billion dollars in stock of technology company MicroStrategy.
In MicroStrategy's filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the second quarter of 2021, Capital International Investors announced that it has purchased 953,242 shares of MicroStrategy. Following the publication of the SEC filing, MicroStrategy's stock price jumped around 1.5%, reaching as high as $628.44 per share. Thus, Capital International's investment in MicroStrategy has increased to 600 billion dollars.

MicroStrategy, which announced that it will buy more than $ 250 million in Bitcoin last year, currently holds more than $ 3.5 billion in BTC funds. The company, which owns exactly 105,085 BTC, made large purchases during the year.
Last month, the company reported that it plans to offer “a total of $400 million in collateralized securities with a special offer” to buy more Bitcoin. MicroStrategy later increased this offer to $500 million and bought about $490 million in Bitcoin. However, despite all this, MicroStrategy's stock prices lost more than 2% in a short period of time.
