CEOs of Facebook and Twitter Testified to the US Senate
CEOs of Twitter and
Facebook testified to the US Senate. The founders of social media platforms Twitter and Facebook testified in the US Senate on many issues, including "participation in the elections". US President Donald Trump's posts with warnings were also among the prominent issues.
Social media had an impact on the US Senate's agenda. Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg, chairman of Twitter and Facebook, answered the senators' questions.
Senators discussed Twitter's warnings about the election problems and the censorship imposed on Joe Biden's news. Twitter chairman Jack Dorsey made a belated confession over questions posed to him. Twitter CEO Dorsey stated that they are at fault for blocking content for Ukrainian relations of
Joe Biden and his son, which was on New York Post.
Trump Continues To Claim That Elections Are Fraudulent
The warnings of the current president of the USA, Donald Trump, were among the topics discussed. Twitter CEO noted that they made a wide-ranging assessment while warning Trump's election tweets.
Dorsey replied "I don't know" to the question of whether the elections were cheated.
On the other hand, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg drew reaction with the expressions he used during his speech. Zuckerberg stated that the accounts sharing in terrorist nature were deleted, but emphasized that the account of Steve Bannon, who threatened the death of FBI Director Christopher Wray, will not be deleted.
This attitude has been described by the American public as a double standard.
