China: USA is the Biggest Threat to World Peace   Chinese Ministry of National Defense spokesman Wu Qian, made a statement regarding China's military development and goals as published by the United States. China used the words "USA is the biggest threat to world peace". The Chinese Ministry of Defense described the United States as the "greatest threat" to international order and world peace. In his statement on the subject, Ministry Spokesperson We Qian said, "We call on the United States to look at China's national defense and army building in an impartial and rational way, to stop publishing false statements and reports, and to take concrete steps to ensure the healthy development of bilateral military relations." Stating that the report on China's military development and goals published by the United States described the country as a "military threat", Wu said that the Beijing administration misinterpreted its national defense policy and military strategy. However, Wu reported that such reports published by the Washington administration were "overt provocative moves".   "For 20 years, the US conducted military operations against countries such as Iraq, Syria and Libya have caused the deaths of more than 800 thousand people and the displacement of tens of millions," Wu Qian said. He claimed that the Washington administration of the period in question had proved that it was "the instigator of regional unrest, violator of the international order, destroyer of world peace".   In the report published by the US Department of Defense in the previous weeks, there were statements regarding China's strategy towards Taiwan, building of the navy with the People's Liberation Army, cruise and ballistic missile capacity.
