China Will Receive 100 Million Doses of BioNTech Vaccine
China will receive 100 million doses of BioNTech vaccine. A Chinese pharmaceutical company, will provide the vaccine produced in partnership with Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SR.
Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group Co., the Chinese company that will receive the coronavirus vaccine, reached an agreement with BioNTech in March to develop and market the vaccine. Now, the company will pay $ 300 million for 50 million doses of vaccine in the first place.
On Wednesday, in the statement made by the Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group Co., it was stated that the German vaccine manufacturer will provide at least 100 million doses of vaccine to China by the end of 2021.
In the news published by Bloomberg, the experimental vaccines produced by local pharmaceutical companies which includes state-sponsored China National Biontec Group Co. and Sinovac Biontech Ltd., are about to be approved by Chinese drug regulators with the expectation of mass production of 1.6 billion doses throughout 2021.
Along with
Pfizer and BioNTech, Astra Zeneca also reached an agreement with its regional partner to supply the coronavirus vaccine to China.
