Company with the most incentivized investment
Is the price of a stock, priced based on future investment projections? This debate has flared up, especially following the polymer and PTA investments in Adana, which SASA investors cited as the basis for astronomically rising share prices.
In recent days, there has been a fierce debate on social media between two types of
stock market investors and experts. SASA in particular seems to be at the center of this debate. The fact that SASA's market capitalization has surpassed the combined market capitalization of Koç Holding and
Sabancı Holding has sparked a fierce debate between growth and value investors.
The issue of pricing future investments
First, let us examine the arguments made by the parties to the debate. SASA's market capitalization of TL 191 billion 968 million, or $10.3 billion at today's dollar exchange rate, has led some analysts and investors to criticize this market capitalization, which is equivalent to $7 billion for Koç Holding and $3.1 billion for Sabancı Holding. According to these critics, the pricing is disconnected from market realities.
On the other hand, SASA's passionate defenders argue that SASA's investments, which they claim will close Turkey's current account deficit, are pricing in the company's future. Here SASA investors are divided. While some argue that the management strategy of Erdemoğlu Holding, the owner of SASA, has made the difference, others believe that the problem stems from the cheap pricing of companies like Koç Holding and Sabancı Holding.
Ford Otosan has the largest incentivized investment
The total amount of investments in Turkey listed on Borsa Istanbul in the last 5 years, some of which have been completed and some of which are still in progress, is 89.5 billion TL. Ford Otosan has the largest investment amount among these large and small incentivized investments made by a total of 128 companies. Ford Otosan has projected its investment amount as 20.5 billion TL in its projection for the next generation commercial vehicle and giant battery production facility investment to be realized in Kocaeli at the end of 2020. Ford Otosan's market capitalization is 6 billion 530 million dollars.
