Daikin Will Invest $ 53 Million to Turkey
Daikin will invest $ 53 million to Turkey. It was stated that the investment will be made in 2021.
Daikin Turkey's top manager Hasan Önder stated that they would perform a variety of investments in order to increase the production capacity of air conditioning and boilers.
Accordingly, Önder said they will establish new lines to improve the split air conditioning production, said, "We will increase our exports increase to 100 million dollars. In addition, we are establishing the first multi central air conditioner investment called VRV in Turkey. We plan to produce 50 thousand units annually, we will export 40 thousand of them.”
Stating that the company's export growth will continue with this investment, Önder said:
"We will invest 53 million dollars in Turkey. Thus, we aim to increase our total exports to $ 430 million. This investment will be an indication of Japan's confidence and it will be the largest amount since Daikin has entered Turkey.”
Stating that they will increase employment as well as investments, Önder stated that the employment of 1400 people in 2020 will be 2 thousand 100 in 2021.
"We Have Not Experienced A Contraction As We Expected"
Explaining that the new type of
coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic affected the combi boiler and air conditioner market and there were some disruptions due to the slowdown in the supply chain, Önder said that they spent the last 3 months better than the same period of the previous year, although they expected a major contraction. Önder noted the following:
"Home comfort came to the fore more during the epidemic. We did not experience a contraction as we expected due to the delayed demand."
