Day Ended Horizontally in the Stock Market The day has ended horizontally in the stock market. BIST 100 index gained 0.02 percent in Borsa Istanbul and closed the day with 1,325.29 points. At the end of the day, the transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 0.20 points compared to its previous closing, was recorded as 30.5 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 0.61 percent in value, while the holding index gained 0.30 percent. Among the indices of the sector, sports were the most profitable with 5.81 percent, while the textile leather sector had the most decline with 1.36 percent. Analysts stated that domestic inflation data will be monitored tomorrow, while retail sales in the Eurozone and service sector Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data will be monitored worldwide. In addition, it was stated that besides the news about the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, geopolitical and political developments continue to determine the direction of the markets. In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.340 and 1.360 are in the resistance position and 1.290 points in the support position in the BIST 100 index.
