Demand for commercial vehicles in the EU fell last month
Demand for commercial vehicles in the European Union (EU) fell slightly last month.
The number of new commercial vehicle registrations fell 1.2 percent year-on-year to 172,743 in October, according to
ACEA.
In September, sales of commercial vehicles increased for the first time this year, rising by 13.3 percent year on year.
Among the large markets in
Germany, sales increased by 9.4 percent in October and in Italy by 7.4 percent. On the contrary, it fell by 8.3 percent in Spain and by 4.5 percent in France.
In the first 10 months of this year, demand for commercial vehicles in the EU fell by 22.2 percent, with the number of new registrations reaching almost 1.4 million.
In Spain, sales fell by 30.4 percent, in France by 19.8 percent, in Germany as well as in Italy by 18.4 percent.
