The Dogecoin Foundation, which was established in 2014 but stopped working over time, will be re-activated with the support of Elon Musk and Vitalik Buterin. While the foundation, a non-profit organization through advocacy, management and brand protection, is being restructured, there are people who are important in the cryptocurrency market on its board.

Ethereum Co-Founder Buterin Will Be On The Board

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin is also on the board of the foundation. Buterin became the foundation's blockchain and cryptocurrency advisor. Elon Musk, another important name in the foundation other than Buterin, Tesla co-founder and constant supporter of Dogecoin, will also show his support for the foundation by including Jared Birchall on the board of directors. Birchall, head of Musk's family office, will serve as the foundation's legal and financial advisor. Dogecoin core developer Max Keller will also act as technical advisor. Among the board members are Jens Wiechers, senior members of the Dogecoin Foundation, and Michi Lumin and Ross Nicoll, other core developers of Dogecoin. It was stated that the foundation will create a 3-year budget and recruit people who will only work for Dogecoin. In the statement made by the foundation, it was reported that new financial and social projects that will complement the Core Wallet to provide easier programming interface implementation (API) with faster integration will also be announced.
