According to the data released by the
Ministry of Commerce, orders of durable goods increased by 1.9 percent in September, exceeding the median expectation of 0.5 percent. The previous month's data was revised from 0.5 percent to 0.4 percent.
Orders of durable goods excluding transport increased by 0.8 percent in the same period, surpassing the estimates of 0.4 percent. The previous month's data was revised from 0.6 percent to 1.0 percent.
Capital
goods orders (core capital goods orders), excluding non-defense aviation, which are considered as indicators for business investments, increased by 1 percent in September. Orders were expected to increase by 0.5 percent. Data for the previous month has been revised from 1.9 percent to 2.1 percent.
