Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on December 5 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 868 thousand 911 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 860 thousand 442 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 41 thousand 343 megawatt-hour at 6 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 29 thousand 837 megawatt-hour at 5 am.
While 868 thousand 911 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 860 thousand 442 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with a share of 36,5 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 21.5 percent and lignite coal plants with 15.2 percent.
Besides, 557 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 9,027 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
