Turkish Company Entering Chinese Market With Chicken Feet Raised Target
The Turkish company entering the Chinese market with chicken feet, raised its target. Company based in Uşak, which exports chicken feet to
China, aims to increase its product range by aiming to sell wings, drumsticks and whole chickens to China.
Company directly exported chicken feet to China on November 6, has also started preparations to send products such as wings, drumsticks and whole chickens. The company wants to export $ 25 million a year.

Gedik Piliç in Uşak's Eşme district, spoke to the AA correspondent. Pointed out that Gedik performs about 8 percent of the chicken meat production in Turkey and exports to 25 countries.
Stating that they intensively export products to countries such as Central African Countries, Iraq, Libya, Philippines, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Georgia, Gedik stated that they sent chicken feet directly to China on 6 November.
Speaking about the export process to China, Osman Gedik said:
“In fact, our work has been going on for 2 years, with the initiatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, direct exports have been opened. The first product we sent is chicken feet. Chicken feet is a very valuable product in the Chinese market. It is a product that will bring serious income. The added value is quite high on China. We plan to send wings, drumsticks and whole chickens in the future. We plan to export approximately 25 million dollars throughout the year. This means a serious income to our country. "
Gedik noted that exports to China were previously made through Vietnam and Hong Kong and this situation was quite costly.
Stating that they are among the highest ranking on the Chicken meat production list in Turkey Gedik said, "We are an ambitious country on chicken meat exports. China's imports are about 600 thousand tons. It is a big market for us. Turkey has about 400 thousand tons to 500 thousand tons of export. Even if we make half of China's 600 thousand tons of imports, our exports will increase by almost 70 percent. This is a long-term business. China is a big market for us.”
