Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on January 16 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 917 thousand 160 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 914 thousand 258 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 44 thousand 929 megawatt-hour at 12 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 30 thousand 258 megawatt-hour at 5 am.
While 917 thousand 160 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 914 thousand 258 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas plants ranked first in production with a share of 33.1 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 17.6 percent and wind power plants with 16 percent.
Besides, 251 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 4,058 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
