There are over 2 Million Stock Investors in Turkey

According to data released by the Central Registry Agency, there are over 2 million stock investors in Turkey. The quarantine measures taken due to the coronavirus outbreak that occurred in Wuhan, China's Hubey province in December 2019, increased the interest in stock markets. After the sharp fall in stocks in March, the upward momentum was quick. Interest in the capital markets in Turkey is increased. According to data released by Central Registry Agency (CRA), the number of stock investors has exceeded 2 million. According to the data announced, it was seen that more than 786 thousand new investors have been included in the stock market since the beginning of last year. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 29 percent in 2020.
