Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on January 3 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 704 thousand 653 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 701 thousand 66 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 35 thousand 2 megawatt-hour at 7 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 25 thousand 263 megawatt-hour at 5 am.
While 704 thousand 653 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 701 thousand 66 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with a share of 30.01 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 25.3 percent and lignite coal plants with 16.3 percent.
Besides, 40 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 4,627 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
