Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on January 9 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 901 thousand 365 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 897 thousand 257 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 42 thousand 730 megawatt-hour at 6 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 29 thousand 51 megawatt-hour at 5 am.
While 901 thousand 365 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 897 thousand 257 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with 233 thousand 956 megawatt hours, followed by imported coal power plants with 194 thousand 784 megawatt hours and hydroelectric power plants with dam with 151 thousand 945 megawatt hours.
Besides, 6.963 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 2,854 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
