Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on March 20 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 934 thousand 910 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 920 thousand 914 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred. According to data released by Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 44 thousand 686 megawatt-hour at 12 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 30 thousand 852 megawatt-hour at 5 am. While 934 thousand 910 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 920 thousand 914 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded. Natural gas plants ranked first in production with a share of 32.68 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 17.25 percent and wind power plants with 13.42 percent. Besides, 2,266 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 15,921 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
