Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey September 20 Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey September 20 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 853 thousand 596 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 846 thousand 307 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred. Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), according to data released yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis as 39 thousand 605 megawatt-hour at 8 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 30 thousand 367 megawatt-hour at 7 am. While 853 thousand 596 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 846 thousand 307 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded. Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with a share of 29.90 percent, followed by imported coal power plants with 23.05 percent and hydroelectric power plants with dams with 13.63 percent. Besides, 899 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 8,188 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
