BIST 100 Closed Monday With An Increase

BIST 100 index closed Monday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 2,175.03 points, gaining 1.43 percent value.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 30.76 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 26.7 billion TL. At the closing, the banking index gained 1.03%, while the holding index gained 1.88 percent. Among the sector indices, informatics was the highest earner with 3.69 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 1.58 percent. Analysts stated that the effect of the war between Russia and Ukraine on pricing continues. Stating that the statements of the European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde will be at the center of the markets tomorrow, the analysts stated that the data agenda will be calm in the country, while the Richmond Fed industrial index will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that if the BIST 100 index is maintained above 2.170, the possibility of an increase can be strengthened.
