BIST 100 Closed the Day With Gains

BIST 100 index closed the day with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 2,064.21 points with 0.89 percent gain.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 18.18 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 37.3 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 0.91 percent, while the holding index gained 1.06 percent. Among the sector indices, mining was the highest earner with 4.73 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 1.24 percent. Analysts stated that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell has relieved global markets by revealing a clearer picture of the Fed's future monetary policy in his statements yesterday. Stating that the statements of the Fed and European Central Bank officials will be followed tomorrow, analysts stated that industrial production in the country, Producer Price Index in the USA and weekly unemployment applications will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 2.070 and 2.090 are in a position of resistance and the level of 2.050 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
