BIST 100 Closed the Week with a Fall
BIST 100 index closed the week with a fall. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 1,990.75 points, depreciating by 1.61%.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in
the BIST 100 index, which recorded a decrease of 32.54 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 29.2 billion TL.
At the closing, the banking index depreciated by 0.62 percent, while the holding index depreciated by 1.78 percent. While real estate was the highest earner with 0.83 percent among the sector indices, the investment partnership was recorded as communication with 4.56 percent.
Analysts stated that last night, the fire that broke out in Ukraine as a result of conflicts at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, the largest power plant in Europe, increased the risk perception on a global scale.
Stating that the statements of
US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell yesterday also reduced the risk appetite in the stock markets, analysts said that the news flow about the war between Russia and Ukraine and the course of monetary policies will continue to be effective on the direction of the markets.
Analysts stated that the balance of payments, industrial production, labor statistics in the country, inflation in the USA, growth in the Eurozone and Japan will be monitored closely.
It was stated that the level of 1.950 stands out as the support and the level of 2.040 is in a position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.
